Eastern Florida State Women’s Golf Team Secures Second Place at Oldfield Intercollegiate Tourney

The Eastern Florida State women's golf team showcased their prowess at the Oldfield Intercollegiate tournament, clinching a commendable second place. Held at the prestigious Oldfield Golf Club, the tournament saw the team navigate through challenging courses, ultimately finishing with a total score of 614, just behind the leading team's score of 606.

Leading the charge for Eastern Florida State was sophomore standout, Anna Nordfors, who delivered a stellar performance, finishing tied for third place overall. Her consistent play across both rounds, with scores of 74 and 75, was pivotal to the team's success. Freshman talent, Maria Lopez, also made significant contributions, tying for seventh place with scores of 76 and 74.

Coach John Anderson praised the team's effort, noting, 'Our players showed great resilience and skill. Finishing second in such a competitive field is a testament to their hard work and dedication.' The team's performance at Oldfield adds to their impressive season, as they continue to build momentum heading into the upcoming national championships.
