Hawaii Men’s Volleyball Swept by Matadors in Three Sets
The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team faced a challenging match against the Cal State Northridge Matadors, resulting in a sweep in three sets. This marked the first time this season that the No. 5 ranked Hawaii team was swept, ending their impressive run of competitive performances.
The match, which took place on April 4, 2025, saw the Matadors dominate from the start, securing a victory with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, and 25-23. Despite the loss, Hawaii's team showed resilience and fought hard in each set, but the Matadors' strong play was too much to overcome.
This defeat comes after Hawaii had previously headed to Northridge for a two-match series against the same opponents. The team will now look to regroup and prepare for their upcoming matches as they continue their season.
